According to the RV Industry Association (RVIA), their March 2024 survey of manufacturers revealed that total RV shipments for the month reached 32,243 units, marking a 1.2 percent increase from the 31,869 units shipped in March 2023.

RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby commented, “Our cautious optimism for the year remains as RV shipments have risen over 9 percent through the first quarter of 2024. The ongoing enthusiasm for RVing is evident, with our latest survey data showing that 89 percent of RVers have embarked on an RV journey in the past year, and 26 million Americans are planning RV trips this spring.”

Kirby added, “Millennials, particularly those with young families, are the most eager demographic, with 38 percent expressing a desire to take an RV trip in the coming year.”

The report also highlighted that towable RVs, primarily conventional travel trailers, saw a 5.9 percent increase in shipments, totaling 29,018 for the month. Conversely, motorhomes experienced a decline, with shipments down 27.8 percent to 3,225 units compared to last March. Overall, RV shipments for the year to date have increased by 9.3 percent, totaling 85,941 units. However, Park Model RVs saw a significant decrease, with shipments down 36.5 percent to 343 units in March.
